FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS – GENERAL
The Advocate Star of Stars Sports Awards will take place on Monday, May 22, 2023 at L’Auberge Baton Rouge Event Center.
Both purchased and complimentary Star of Stars athletes and Athlete of the Year finalist tickets include entry into the event and a seat in the venue. Light refreshments will be provided before the ceremony. The ticket does not include any access to celebrity guest, Seimone Augustus.
Registration and Red Carpet opens at 6:00 p.m. and the show starts at 7:00 p.m. All attendees must have a ticket to attend the show. Star of Stars athletes and athlete of the year finalists receiving complimentary tickets should arrive no later than 6:15 p.m. and will need to check in (follow signs for athlete check in).
Purchased ticket holders will receive their tickets via the ticketing website. You will need to print your tickets and bring them with you to get into the event.
As you enter the venue there will be a Red Carpet Experience with photo opportunities for all event attendees. The show will feature the presentation of various awards and celebrity guest speaker, Seimone Augustus. As award winners are announced, they will be brought on stage to accept their award.
This event is general admission seating. All purchased ticket holders will be seated in the general admission area on a first come, first served basis. All Star of Stars athletes and athlete of the year finalists will be seated in an athlete-only section towards the stage.
The winners are selected by the Sports Department of The Advocate.

Seimone Augustus will be seen by the general public on stage for the ceremony. Star of Stars athletes and athlete of the year finalists will have a photo opportunity with her as they receive their award on stage. There will be no other opportunities for photos or autographs. No outside media will have access to her.

Each nominated team will receive tickets in the athlete section towards the front of the venue. Coach will receive these tickets via email from the events team. Each team member should have a printed ticket in hand on event night and will proceed on stage when your teams name is called during the event. After you are contacted that you have been selected as a Star of Stars athlete or an athlete of the year finalist, you will need to confirm your attendance to the event by contacting Emily Ward at (225) 388-0244 or eward@theadvocate.com to RSVP and receive your tickets.
After submitting your RSVP, you will receive tickets via your email. Print your ticket out and have it in hand for event night. Follow the signs for athlete check in on event night.
As a Star of Stars athlete or an athlete of the year finalist, you will receive 3 complimentary tickets (1 for yourself and 2 guest tickets)
